Manny Sousa

Manny brings over 25 years of experience in municipal public affairs and stakeholder relations.
In his previous role as Manager, Community & Municipal Relations at Enbridge Gas Distribution, Manny managed relationships with key political stakeholders at the municipal and provincial levels including elected officials, first responders, community organizations and sector associations. He oversaw the development of municipal and community relations strategies and developed province wide programs such as the Low-Income Energy Assistance program (LEAP) and community safety programs such as Project Zero and Project Assist.
At Sutherland Corporation, Manny successfully consulted on a variety of files in a wide range of policy areas, including energy, transportation, infrastructure, casino and entertainment, development and public safety.
Manny lives in Scarborough Ontario, where he is involved with ACSA and sits on their Board of Directors as Chair. He also volunteers with the Scarborough Community Renewal Organization and sits on their Economic Development committee where he works on files that include transit, improved broadband and the retention of employment lands in Scarborough.
He is the past Chair of the Scarborough Chamber of Commerce where he also chaired its Government Relations Committee. He was also the Chair of the Business Community Partners Advisory Council for Providence Healthcare and was involved in the start up of the Scarborough Business Association to name just a few of his volunteer activities throughout the province of Ontario.
